Janine joined Shell 16 years ago from Glaxo SmithKline, and has worked in a range of roles in the Marketing business. She qualified as a lawyer and obtained her MBA in International Management from the University of Exeter. She has been in the payments space for a number of years, originally responsible for Shell’s global payments acceptance strategy as well as managing the relationship with schemes, international acquirers and other key players in the payments ecosystem. In her most recent role, Janine has led the development of Shell’s mobile payment CVP from strategy through to implementation and has built a strong roadmap for the roll out over the coming years. She has achieved this implementing cloud connectivity and introducing innovative mobile acceptance capabilities to the forecourt, paving the way for connected car and connected customer digital experiences. She will now take on the challenge of leading the digital and technical integration for the Shell marketing businesses to deliver meaningful change and support Shell’s continued journey thru the digital transformation. As a result of her work, Janine and the team picked up the Gold prize for Best Mobile Payments Customer Experience in UK, awarded by the Mobile Marketing Awards (MMA).
